Where GridBit comes from

From smart metering to smart infrastructure

ADD Bulgaria started in 2006 with remote metering and management, one of the first practical steps in the digital transformation of the energy sector. It began as a system integrator and turned that know-how into systems of its own.

Those systems now reach millions of users and hundreds of settlements: smart meters, street lighting control, monitoring of the low-voltage grid and, since 2026, buildings. The clients are energy companies, municipalities, industrial enterprises and system integrators, where reliability, security and steady support come first.

GridBit is the product side of that work. It started with street lighting control and grew with the monitoring of the grid. Today it also covers fleet management: the GWU-5 gateway with GridBit Cloud, the platform that keeps every device reachable and up to date, together with the systems and the DIN-rail hardware.
